I have to be honest in this rating, if there was a zero that would be my rating. Took my car (1971 corvette) to have looked at and diagnosed. They found the problem but did not fix it properly. The mechanic there cut my plug wire way short which I can not figure out why and didnt even crimp it properly. My 10 year old could have done a better job and thats no joke. This fix lasted about 3 hours until the boot they put on the plug wire melted off and shorted out on the way to the beach. I ended up fixing it myself for 20 bucks. I may as well have flushed the money I paid them down the toilet. Sorry guys you will not be getting any of my business again, this is not the first time you have screwed up on my vehicles but it will be the last.

Children put diesel in a gas engine vehicle Friday night. Made an online appointment for Monday morning. Adam called early Monday morning and was able to get the vehicle in the same day. Full repair completed in one day. Communication was excellent and the pricing reasonable. Highly recommend for your auto repair needs.

Problem fixed! When I went to a dealership, a local Portland OR Chevy dealership, they said that it pulled the PO300 code as well as a few others for some sensors, which I had replaced. O2 sensor and something else. They even told me that it's probably not going to fix the problem but that they needed to be changed anyways. So I pay them $260 and am on my way. 10 miles down the road as soon as I reach highway speeds, guess what, its immediately starts doing the same thing. I'm starting to get perturbed now so I call them to schedule a time to bring it back in which wouldn't be for about 5 days so I decided to take my business elsewhere. I called Rons Automotive in Vancouver Washington, after looking up Yelp and Google reviews, and a very nice man answered the phone. He said that we will diagnose the problem, not just hook it to a computer, and charge me $120 give or take a few dollars. The next business day I bring it to them at 8 am. The tech rode with me and viola the problem happens again. He assured me he could take care of it. Around 11:45 that same morning they called me back and said it was fixed for no additional charge. That alone has earned my business. Come to find out, the timing was off 18 degrees the whole time. I'm happy now! :) One more thing, to the guy on here that is so furious about a company not taking a check...get over it. A multitude of business' policy is not to take a check, whether or not it's a personal, business, or cashiers check. It's not 1980 anymore.

So here's a bit of a unique review as Ron's didn't actually repair my vehicle. It was found to be a total-loss before repairs could take place. Instead I want to leave a review for how responsive, and understanding their staff were in how I was treated. From the get-go, they were so kind and compassionate following my accident when I arranged to have the car towed to their facility. They responded to every email with questions I sent within minutes of me sending them. They were always proactive in keeping me up-to-date on what the insurance company from the other party was up to in regards to my vehicle. In general I was just blown away with how attentive they were to my concerns. Even though my car ultimately won't be repaired because of the damage, I would definitely use them in the future if I had repair needs based off their professionalism and amazing responsiveness.

I have been pleased before in the past with the quality of the repairs themselves, however, their service is always poor, other than Ray. Their diagnostic seems like it is literally plugging it into one of those code readers and regurgitating back information I could have gotten myself without even popping the hood of the car. Then they come in with sweeping generalizations on what they think it is, with an estimate so high you are thinking at that rate my car is totaled. They do not honor the RepairPal estimates though it says they are a participating location. They have tried to get me to replace things I literally replaced before taking my car to the shop. They try to make the cost of the diagnostic cost enough to make you want to do the repair, then last minute the quote you already found high gets a little higher for some unknown reason. We took our 2013 Kia Optima into the shop for a timing chain replacement and front brakes and rotors and the estimated $5000-$6500 when on RepairPal it had the timing chain from $1455-$1717, and Brakes $397 from the dealerships estimate. They said the job would take 11 hours, about an hour longer than it should take to replace an engine and still you would need to calculate the labor at over $400-$500 and hour to make the estimated even close. Never going back.

I brought my Daughter's car in after I had checked every sensor the darn thing had. Ron's quoted $120 to troubleshoot the issue and spent a-lot of time to figure out my teenager put diesel in it. They were thoughtful enough to call and ask permission to add gas to the car. James was very professional and easy to work with. This is the first time in my 46 years on this spinning rock I have ever taken my car to a repair facility. I must say the idiot who complained about the "breaks" or as I like to spell it Brakes. Get a life! $60.30 to completely inspect a braking system is well with in reason. Consider this, you have to pull all the wheels and calipers just to check it out and most shops are $100 an hour. The final bill was less expensive then I would have charged. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RON"S James thanks for the great job!

I found them via internet, and a bit hesitant, as I have had very bad experiences with other repair shops, but WOW, they are professional and the experts. I brought my car in, as another shop told me they wanted $1700 to fix my car. Ron's inspected the car in detail, found the real problem, and I saved $1100, as the original repair place was incorrect in their findings. Thank you.

They resurrected my 2000 Toyota Celica. It's been 2 weeks and her new owner reports that she's still running great. Had new battery and battery cables replaced. Prior to that had catalytic converter and a coil replaced, plus oil change. They even gave the car a wash. Because she had been sitting for awhile under a tree prior to bringing her in and was covered in pollen. Thank y'all for the great work provided!

If you remember when they had a shop in Hazel Dell on SE 78th, they've moved all repairs to Cascade Park on SE 1st Street off SE 164th across from Parkrose Hardware. The Hazel Dell location is now a collaboration with Alpine Collision. Appointments are recommended as they start early. I left my car there and was given a ride home and picked back up via their shuttle service. Both of my drivers, Talia in the morning taking me home and Adam in the afternoon picking me up were great. Once inside there is a plexiglass window on the counter, available hand sanitizer and if you don't have a mask when you get in the shuttle, one will be provided for you. I received a detailed inspection report, replete with pictures and ratings. Ray was my Service Advisor and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. Whenever I've needed dependable, quality auto service, I always choose Ron's Automotive.

Honestly they deserve 5 stars! Their customer service is phenomenal. I wish I could remember everyone's name but Zach and Jeff were who I mostly dealt with and Zach answered so many qurstions for us. My car is having weird issues and they helped diagnose it and made sure to give me info on recalls and warranties. They send a fully detailed inspection report with photos in terms that were easy for me to understand. Their reports show low, medium, and high priority items and they'll walk you through all of it. They clearly care about their clients. If the dealership won't fix the warranty issues I 100% will bring my car back to Rons automotive for the remaining repairs. I'd much rather support them than the dealership. The issues that I did have them fix were done so with quality and speed and everyone was beyond nice during this stressful event!

I picked it up the day after I dropped it off, drove about 40 miles to reset my car's computer, and got it through emissions, no problem. They also took care of a few other things for me as well. Just the facts: 2 weeks ago I walk in and request a price quote for a very basic service for a used Subaru. Two persons were present in the front desk, but the supervisor in the front very confidently provided me the quote. 1 week ago I scheduled an appointment and confirmed the quote over the phone. They also confidently provided me a 2 hour service time frame. On the day of the service ,I drop off the car and before I hand over the key . I request that they reaffirm the price quote. They reaffirm it. 10 minutes after I check in the car.They tell me it's going to be an additional $110. ....?! . Keep in mind I requested a quote 3 times for a very basic scheduled service .Each time I provided very detailed information about the vehicle This basic service ends up taking 3 hrs and 45 minutes instead of 2 hours. The Questions: Am I dissatisfied? "Absolutely " Will I return? Very unlikey....

I've been using Ron's for a few years and haven't had any issues with them. I had my car serviced this week because it wasn't working (obviously). Service was great, done the same day. The only issue I had was that I had to pick up my car after hours and when I got there it wouldn't start. Needless to say, that was an unexpected surprise. It was Friday so I couldn't have anything done about it until Monday. Ron's called me Monday morning to let me know that the gas level had been low enough that when it was parked on an incline (as it was in their parking lot), the car wouldn't start. Okay, happy that it's nothing major. They did charge me for 5 gallons of gas though...that they put in without asking. Yes, the car needed gas, but I'm pretty sure a gallon would have gotten me across the street to the AM/PM. Also not sure how I should feel about paying for the gas when I was the one who couldn't drive my car away because of where it was parked. Anyway, I'm sure I'll come back again, but that detail frustrated me a bit. Wish there was someone on call for stuff like that on the weekend.

Worse place to go. I went there to check for my Ac fan they worsen the issue than fixing it. I Just Kept Quite because if i request them to check again there might be another disaster.and the bad thing they gave me with dash board light on such as Check engine light, Trans Failsave Pogrom and so on. they didn't even ask any apologies for making mistakes... They lost one of the important clib part and didnt replaced. I waste my time, gas waste my clip part. Very unprofessional treatment. Guys please my advice is to you go some where else who can professional treat you and your vehicle not Ron Automotive Hezel Dell Specifically.

I've lived right down the road from Ron's for about 18 years, and the three times that I've taken a vehicle there, I always leave feeling like I didn't quite get what I paid for. My son brought in his car to figure out why the check engine light was on. $140 for the test. $500 for the repair. Then two days later, the check engine light came back on again. Instead of offering to look into the matter, they wanted us to start from scratch, with another $140 test... and then God know what would have come next. I don't really think that's fair. The first test was done for the purpose of figuring out why the check engine light was on. That's why we brought it there. Again, feeling like I didn't quite get what I paid for. Also, I would caution Ron's about creating contracts with minors. Yes, I want my son to be a big boy and take care of his own car now that he's old enough to drive. But teenagers also tend to think that money grows on a tree out in the backyard. Had I known that the bill was going to be nearly $700 (and that the problems still wouldn't be fixed), I would have told him to take the car somewhere else.

Fast and good service but you'll pay A LOT for it. Ron's does not apply the fee for diagnostics to your total bill if you get the service (which every other place we've been to will, so we didn't even think to ask). They charged top dollar for parts, because they only use the cars manufacturer parts/fluids and charge over the dealership costs as they will warranty their work for longer). This makes sense for a new car, so if that's your jam, I supposed it could be worth it. If you have an older car, or you are cost conscious, go somewhere else.

Ron's automotive was referred to me as a recommendation by AAA when my car broke down at WSU-V. I had no previous inquiries about this service business. The tow company took my car to the Cascade Park location around noon. By the end of the day I received a call about diagnoses, cost, and how long it was going to be there to be fixed. 3 days later I got my car back and my only concern was I heard a strange noise that wasn't there before the fix. So I called and they said swing on by when you can and we will take a listen. They found out what the noise was, and fixed it at no cost (it wasn't a mechanical issue;the engine just didn't settle back in after they'd taken it out and i was hearing road vibration). I am very satisfied with my service experience at Ron's! The financing option was a wonderful alternative than forking out my college savings. I would definitely recommend this service location to my family and friends! Thanks Ron's!

I would not recommend these people to work on a gocart. I took my Honda Accord into check why the check engine light was on. I had already taken it to an Auto Parts store and had them put it on the tester and told me what part to replace. So I replaced the part and the check engine light came back on. So I decided to take it to Rons to have it looked at. They charged me a 120 bucks to tell me the same thing the autoparts store had told me for free. So I replaced the part and all is fine. But they wanted 500 bucks to put a 100 dollar part in that took me 20 minutes total to remove and reinstall. I am not a mechanic by any means of the word. Just googled the part and watched a short video on youtube and thats all it took. These people suck!

Great customer service, but be wary of the charges. Diagnostics were above 120.. and they charge a diagnostic for every individual issue even if the car is already there for another thing. They also charge the same labor to screw in a light bulb as they do to do more complex tasks.

This was by far the worst experience dealing with auto service repair. This is the sterotypical - lie to get your $$- shop you have been warned about. 2015 Acura TLX - under 60k miles. Took my car in after hearing from an oil change shop that it appeared that there was a transmission leak. Was told by Ron's that the fluid was leaking around the bolts. They offered to open up the transmission to fix this, or to just seal around the bolts. I asked about the manufacturer's warranty, Was told it was beyond warranty. I looked up the warranty and found that it is still valid. Told them not to do anything else and set up an appointment with Acura dealership. Acura had to steam clean - because it had not been done thoroughly, and after leak testing, driving and doing extensive exploratory found no leak. I also had some other work done at Ron's and am afraid it was not done properly. Waiting for my brakes to fail since Ron's did that work as well STAY AWAY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Ron’s response to my post is CYA only. They only provided information to the dealer after I checked into the warranty and told them to not proceed with their “cheap fix” which was not a fix. Dealership had to steam clean because it wasn’t done completely ( this would make it look like there was an issue). Dealership then used leak detector, drove the car, let it sit, drove it again a few hours later and could find no leak. It wasn’t that they were unwilling to cover warranty, they were unwilling to fix something that wasn’t broken, unlike Ron’s Automotive.

I would highly recommend rons automotive for diesel repair, they had the knowledge to not only fix the issue on my 1994 f350 7.3 diesel pickup but to find the right parts to fix it the first time. Their staff was very helpful with any questions that I had, include showing me what went wrong with my pickup. The parts and labor cost was very fair compared to other shops in the portland/ vancouver area.

The AC failed on my 2008 Ranger pickup and I needed a quick repair to have it for a weekend outing and 90 deg. temperatures. Ron's gave me a same day appointment and did their analysis in less than two hours from the time I arrived They gave me transportation back to my house and finished the parts purchase and installation in less two hours. I have never been treated this way by the dealerships I normally depend on.

This is the best shop in Vancouver. Their prices are on par with other shops in the area but where you really get your bang for your buck is their service. Kevin was extremely friendly, helpful, and empathetic to my issues I was having. They send you an email with pictures of the findings of their inspection so you can see what needs to be done instead of bombarding you with other things you need to have serviced. He wrote me up a quote of things that needed to be done besides what I was having serviced today, gave me an order of importance, and things that could wait a while before being serviced. This shop is what every car repair shop should strive to be, their service is next level and even give you free rides to and from the shop when you need it. My wife and I will be coming to Ron's for the foreseeable future and can't wait to work with Kevin again.

I recommend Ron's automotive to my friends and family. I have been using them now for three years and I have five vehicles of various years, makes and models I have first-hand experience that Ron's automotive can handle just about any car or truck. Besides good service, one of my concerns is cost. I have found Ron's automotive to be fair and reasonable compared to other repair and service companies I've tried in Yucca Valley. Ron's automotive uses certified mechanics which I like, because I want the job done right. The Morongo Basin has many folks on fixed incomes and auto repairs and service can cut into their budget. If I have one complaint it is that I have found Ron's Automotive to be extremely conservative about recommending additional work. They do tell me about the up coming service items they have obversived, but I"m the type of person that would have it fixed now. So for those that may have had an experience where the auto repair place tags on a long list of items not necessary at this time so they can make their monthly building mortgage, you will not find that at Ron's. Lastly, Ron's stands behind their work.

When I didn't get my debit card back one guy said I had left it on the counter and then management said no the service rep forgot to give it to you. They claim I need 2500. In repairs that I have records showing the repairs have already been done recently. They want to cover up their greedy money hungry tricks by saying those are just recommendations. Who puts in big bold red "SERVICE NEEDED NOW" if it is only recommended? That's is deceptive! I am shocked that any of the management can sleep at night. They are lying to consumers. Repeated lies in every level and it is discouraging. No accountability. Sad. Hoped to go there on a routine basis but won't be now. I will continue my search. -F rating

I brought my 2006 Jeep Liberty to Ron's automotive awhile back and I was so happy with the exceptional customer service I received and how each staff member greeted me with a smile, both when I brought my car in and when I picked it up. I had a couple different issues with my car including a broken air conditioning unit and a broken motor that prohibited me from rolling up my window. Both of these problems were fixed swiftly and I haven't had a single problem with my car since. If I ever did have an issue with my car in the future I would bring it to Ron's without a second guess!! Thank you for a first class experience.

They don't low ball you like other places and really give you a bang for your buck. They gave me a price $800 higher than what they had said on the phone and when I went to take my truck back they conned $60 from me just to look at my breaks. Ron's wanted $1200 total ..... Went elsewhere and had it find for $400! These guys should be put out of business ! Horrible shop horrible people.

Highly recommend this place!! They are very honest and speedy! I noticed a problem with my car and they said to bring it in and would trouble shoot it for free because they felt it was a quick fix based on what I said. Sure enough it was..they took it in welded the part for a very reasonable price and had me in and out of there shop within an hr ( I called with concern ,drove in, had it fixed same day within a total of 2 hrs) . This is the second time I have used them and had incredible experience. Safe to say I will use them moving forward. It’s nice to have an honest mechanic. Thanks guys

I came here just a few months ago because my car was overheating. At first I was told it was a wiring issue with my fans and then they ended up finding more things wrong. It was very expensive so I ended up telling them to hold off for a few days. They assured me that they had fixed my wiring issue but that the other repairs were needed if I wanted my car to stop overheating but I’m not sure why they said the wiring was fixed when it clearly wasn’t otherwise my check engine light wouldn’t of been on for a false reading. They ended up charging me a lot for diagnosing the problem. So I went to a different mechanic who had more reasonable prices and honest.

My rear windshield wiper arm had broken so they ordered and received the part (while also getting me a better deal than the dealership would have charged) in the same day. They called me once they received the part to have me come in, and made the repair to my windshield wiper and patched my a nail in my tire in 15 minutes. Now my windshield wiper is as good as new and my tire is patched!

Ron’s Automotive in Hazel Dell. Wow! I brought them a serious electrical problem on my truck (broken wire I attempted to fix) and they went well above and beyond on the repair. Not only did they fix the problem I created but they found another wire issue in the door and repaired that too. It does not end there. Since I could not roll up my windows (initial wire problem) I had to duct tape some clear vinyl on both the driver and passenger windows until I could get the issue fixed. They removed that duct tape, vinyl material, the sticky residue from that duct tape, washed the outside of the truck and cleaned the inside windows. I highly recommend these folks for your car care needs. They professionally fixed my automotive needs and did my windows! Who does that anymore? These guys are great!

I would avoid this Shop like a plague. I've never had a more horrible experience when working with an Automotive Shop. I should have known better than to keep proceeding with the process because every interaction identified poor customer service coupled with terrible communication along the way. Had I listened to my gut, I would have saved myself 4 hours of my time. This headache wasn't worth a simple tune up. Estimates kept rising, they were more than an hour late picking me up, the list goes on. Worst part is, this was intended to be a surprise for my wife's birthday and I even made arrangements 2 weeks prior... Suffice to say: literally the worst communication and customer experience I've ever had... This is my 1st negative review I've ever written on any company for any platform, yet Ron's Staff did such an exceptional job of giving me the finger - I felt compelled to share! Save yourself the time- go elsewhere. On the bright side, at least I didn't have to pay them on top of it. Reviewing other "Responses" from the owner on other review's leads me to think they've lost touch with the ideal of true Customer Service!

From first contact, we knew we were dealing with professionals who care about the service they deliver. It's the first time we've used a 'high end' repair shop, but this isn't what impressed us. We've had good service from people working out of their homes. It was their patience with all of our concerns and thorough, easy-to-understand explanations of what was going on with our Dodge Caravan. It's a bonus that the parts are warranted like a new vehicle (five years) and parts and labor appear to be covered for two years, even if we are out of Ron's service area is worth the cost. They clearly know what they are doing and are committed to excellence.

This was a rare and wonderful experience! I usually take my little Civic to the dealer in Portland. Due to their very busy schedule (and mine) I wasn't able to get it in so called Ron's Automotive in Hazel Dell. I explained my horrible schedule and they were able to get me right in first thing in the morning with just 2 days notice. Everyone that I spoke with was professional and friendly. I needed to be at work by 9am or close to it in Portland, and they put together a tag team that got me right out the door in time to keep my work happy. This will be my new "go to" place! I highly recommend this place! I was recommended to Ron's by a coworker, and they did not disappoint! This was my first time ever getting into a collision and needing a repair - They answered all of my questions, handled everything with the insurance company for me as well as got me in a rental car SUPER easy. My Jeep looked AMAZING when i drove off. They even detailed my car for me which i was not expecting. Maralene (not sure if i spelled her name right, so sorry lol) was the SWEETEST woman, and made everything go so smoothly every step of the way. I thought the diagnostic was a little spendy until I saw how comprehensive it was. I dropped my car off without an appointment at 11:15 on a Monday and they picked me up at 5 o'clock that day. I am very dissatisfied with my experience at Ron’s Automotive. My truck was smoking and sputtering, not wanting to run. My first thought: Ron’s Automotive. Close to my house and employment. I told them I have an interlock device installed and will this be ok and told yes. I was told leave it there overnight, come back at 745am the following morning as I would be required to be there while the mechanic worked on my truck so I could activate the blower. I took time off work, which was NOT pre-arranged and adjusted my day. Upon returning the following morning I was told to wait which I waited patiently from 745-830. I was then told they were waiting for the general manager to arrive to tell them if they can even work on my truck. What? I’ve been waiting and making arrangements for service, missing work, having my sister alter her morning to be accommodating just to be told I may not be able to be serviced. About a half hour later I was told they could not service my vehicle with an interlock device. So I had to leave, find another shop and re-adjust my day. Thanks a lot Ron’s Automotive. I found a shop that works on interlock device vehicles and they’ve been very helpful in getting my truck on the road again. Disappointed, Chris Higdon

Shuttle Service to and from Work: My car was towed in by AAA in the morning. Once I was done with the paperwork someone at Ron’s Automotive shuttled me to work. The next day when my car was repaired they picked me up at work and shuttled me back to Ron’s Automotive. I really appreciated that service and not having to arrange for transportation on my own.

Called around to a few shops in town after I couldn’t figure out what I thought would be an expensive electrical fix on my truck, called Ron’s and spoke to Aaron who assured me they’d look into my issue and let me know what they came back with on the diagnostics. After a couple of days they let me know most of the tests came back okay but they weren’t going to give up until they could replicate the issue and find the culprit. They were very respectful and courteous when I stopped in while I was in the area and advised they found a faulty relay and asked if they could try to see if that resolved the issue. Sure enough it was a $35 part plus diagnostics fee. They didn’t try to upsell me into unnecessary repairs and were spot on with the timing they gave me. I called my wife and told her I found our new shop in town! Ron’s will be getting all of our business moving forward and I will gladly recommend them to all my friends and family who need auto repair or body work. Best auto shop I’ve dealt with in years!

Professional, timely, realistic, overall a fantastic shop for your car. Had a power steering problem and warning light. I’m not from the area and Ron’s had good reviews. They took the car in and gave me realistic expectations for time, didn’t get my hopes up or give me doom and gloom. Called when they had updates and they were honest with their prices. They also gave me a ride to where I needed to go after I dropped the car off. My car was done much earlier than expected and they explained the reason for each service they performed and even let me see the tire that caused the problem in the first place. I will use Ron’s again in the future.

I had 2 broken bolts behind my manifold in my 2016 wrx and I really needed it fixed ASAP because I was going to get the car tuned on Friday. My car was backed into at a job site, I took it straight to Ron's, and Marlene from Ron'a helped me deal with filing my claim with the insurance and stayed in contact and dealt with the insurance claims adjuster throughout the process, making it stress less for me. I would highly recommend Ron's Automotive to anyone looking for a quality automotive service. They have great customer service, knowledgeable, QUALITY work and will explain what is going on with your vehicle. It is shocking how other auto shops can miss something because their lack of knowledge or testing capabilities. You might pay a bit more than you would elsewhere up front but it is not worth the trouble (and cost) in the long run.

Was charged a high price to get O2 sensors replaced. Not only did they fail to fix the problem, but they also managed to get my broken automatic window stuck in a rolled down position (it was stuck closed before, which meant no issues with weather or freeway driving) and then asked me for $160 to do a diagnostic on the now-open broken window. Charged my girlfriend $250 for a brake check and computer code diagnostic on her vehicle. They seem to have trouble getting repairs right on the first time and charge extremely high prices even for old American cars. Do not recommend.

I get 'good customer' postcards for free oil changes or other discounts but never have them with me or forget them in the glovebox when I take the car for service. If you send these to your good customers there should be a notice of a credit for that service if the customer comes in and has service performed on the car.

Ray said he was going to speak to Ron about this and would follow up with me. Received follow up from Ray and they were able to revise the quote to $1200. Thank you for the follow up.

Called around to a few shops in town after I couldn’t figure out what I thought would be an expensive electrical fix on my truck, called Ron’s and spoke to Aaron who assured me they’d look into my issue and let me know what they came back with on the diagnostics. After a couple of days they let me know most of the tests came back okay but they weren’t going to give up until they could replicate the issue and find the culprit. They were very respectful and courteous when I stopped in while I was in the area and advised they found a faulty relay and asked if they could try to see if that resolved the issue. Sure enough it was a $35 part plus diagnostics fee. They didn’t try to upsell me into unnecessary repairs and were spot on with the timing they gave me. I called my wife and told her I found our new shop in town! Ron’s will be getting all of our business moving forward and I will gladly recommend them to all my friends and family who need auto repair or body work. Best auto shop I’ve dealt with in years!

My car was backed into at a job site, I took it straight to Ron's, and Marlene from Ron'a helped me deal with filing my claim with the insurance and stayed in contact and dealt with the insurance claims adjuster throughout the process, making it stress less for me. I was referred to Ron's Automotive back in 1999 when I first moved to Vancouver. It is the only place I have taken my cars to for mechanical problems. I am over the moon happy with the service that I received from Ron's Automotive - Hazel Dell. Have had the same problem with my car that I had other shops say that they fixed and it was not. Was referred to this shop and can not say how happy I am to have taken their advice. They listened to me as to some of the sounds it was making as well as the real problem I was having. After doing a diagnostic test they were able to get the problem fixed in a very short time. Other shop says they did a diagnostic but it did not show up on the paper work and charged me a fortune to what they say fixed it. (Not). Adam explained to me before, during and after every detail that was going on and how my car would feel after repairs. Can not say enough good things about this shop. No other shop even comes close! Shout out to the driver(Not sure of his name) that took me home and picked me up to get my car. Adam is amazing!

I have a friend who knows the manager well at this shop. I had a TIPM fail and had my car towed there. There was a check engine light and the car wouldn’t start. I got a quote in reasonable time the next morning. They charged 2 hours and had a call to me by 9am. They had located a failed TIPM. I had asked Brian to have the tech double check the grounds. Brian stated that the tech found a loose ground and couldn’t later tell me where. Also, the tech cleared the check engine code without recording it somehow. They took 1 hour to tell me I had a failed piece I already knew about and did not appropriately log or remember the code. I called Ray, the manager and stated that I was charged 150 for the check scan that wasn’t successful, and had a hard time not staying the simple fact that they didn’t have enough time in the day to pull the car in and diagnose in 2 hours opening at 8. Ray stated that the charge is the charge and that the tech did not need to state any detail of the findings, only the diagnosis. When I reviewed the labor and parts, it was 2200 plus to repair and they did not help me in any way. I even prepaid and they wouldn’t leave the car for me in the lot. This looks to be a “buyback” shop who likes to lock up these cars and hope that they are abandoned. The TIPM took a week remanufactured for 2008 dropped in with no tools but a single 12mm and took 30 min. Replaced and repaired for $188 compared to there 2200. Everyone was disrespectful. It would have been much better to not “know” anyone. Worst shop experience of my life, but my car runs fine now. Thanks to me. Expensive and just an average old dishonest shop who laughs at your customers.

$6,000 In service was done to my truck. Yet it wasn't fixed. Had it towed home where I finished the repairs. I then noticed they put to big of a bolt into in my valve cover cracking my head. The AC no longer had and charge their for now doesn't work. Wires were left unplugged and dents the front bumper from when the pushed the truck with there machine.. all this after I had a new engine put in that cost an additional $6,000. All my concerns have been sent to there management. I will update post if anything positive happens. As of right now I wouldn't go back for any kind of service.

Rons is one of the most honest auto repair shops I have ever worked with. I was quoted much higher at two other shops because it included work that didn’t need to be done! Including front brakes that had over 90% of the pads left. Tiffany was transparent and kept me up-to-date not only on what was going on with my car but the cost of everything. She helped me figure out a financing option through the shop that gave me the ability to get my car in working order so we can go on a trip. Most importantly she didn’t make feel guilty for all the work that has been neglected rather she showed an understanding of a momma of four doing her best to get by. John did fantastic work and got my car done in a timely fashion. He made sure my car was safe to drive around with my four kiddos and I can never give enough appreciation for that. We're fairly new to the area and when one of our cars, a 2007 Honda Pilot, needed it's suggested Timing Belt change, along with other components normally associated with working on the front end of the engine (Water pump replacement, hydraulic tensioner, etc), we brought it to Ron's based on customer ratings. We knew this maintenance was a pricey, but necessary expense for our well-kept vehicle, and we were initially disappointed that soon after they did the engine work, the vehicle developed what appeared to be an oil leak. Thinking that the leak was a result of the recent work, we brought the vehicle back to Ron's. What followed was a series of re-visit's to Ron's, all during which my consumer-beware gauge was hitting the stops, particularly because after owning more than 30 vehicles over 45 years, not all of my visits to car repair shops were pleasant. In the end, though, we found the source of the leak and indeed, it was unassociated with the initial work that Ron's had done. And even though he had no obligation, nor expectation to do so, Ron's resolved the issue with the separate component (the steering pump/fluid) that had been the source of the lead all along, at no more cost to me. I commend Ron's Automotive for their quality work and their sincere efforts to provide a service with fairness and integrity. I highly recommend them for all of your car's needs.

Unethical pricing. I hate to give them a bad review because they did seem really nice but the price are ridiculous. I had two items that popped up on diagnostics and I was quoted $1000 to replace both. One was a sensor that the dealership quoted at $115 for the part itself; it has one screw and one connector and is easily accessible, it took me about 10 min to replace. The other item was the thermostat which the dealer quoted me $400 for the part; replacement time for an untrained individual is about an hour since it involves draining fluid and bleeding the system. If I bought the dealership parts without discount, that would put me at $515 and a little over an hour of work. So they're charging at least $485 for an hour of easy work? That's insane, it's 3 bolts, a connector, and some coolant in and out. * I actually bought the parts at napa and paid $60 total and did the work myself for a savings of $940.

Very poor! My 77 yr old mother purchased a Interstated battery there 12 months ago and it tested bad and left her stranded. It has a 24 month free replacement warranty, however they said that it needs to be completely dead to be warrantied. How is a battery with 30% bad cranking amps going to start a car? Hassle, Runaround and Dishonesty to say the least.

Ron's replaced the brakes and water pump on my Mazda3. All the employees I delt with were super friendly and they had my car finished in half a day. I drove away happy that I didn't have to worry about my brakes anymore and felt good about a new water pump which they also did a complete cooling system service on. However, 2 days later the coolant temp light started flashing. I thought no way! No way could I be overheating after just having the system serviced! I pulled over and called Ron's then limped my way there on a Friday afternoon. Shout out to Alan for working me right in on a busy afternoon! They found the serpentine belt had over stretched so they replaced it and had me out in no time AND no additional charge. I think Ron's is a very reputable shop. The men there not only argue and make things difficult. As the gentleman yelled at me. The manager was sitting behind him and did nothing. And when I said something about him not stepping in. He said he prefers them to learn on tgier own. So in his opinion it's more professional to let a Employee argue with the customer in front of other customers rather than step on and show them the correct way. But they also lied about the work they did and I watched them overcharge a senior man who said he was disabled! This place is a disgrace! NEVER come here! K&m auto in Portland will be better off for you and your cost!

My daughter’s old car had the brakes and master cylinder replaced (not at Ron’s but somewhere else) but the brakes seized while she was driving shortly after this was completed . She called Ron’s, arranged a tow, and paid to diagnose the problem. Battery was dead &replaced. $570 later we are told it’s needs a new master cylinder for $1700 (total including tow fees, battery, diagnostics, and a master cylinder). My husband and I go in to talk to have a conversation about their findings. Was ignored for several minutes by an older man in the office who looked at us several times but kept on tinkering with a thermostat. Several minutes later Alan, a younger gentleman enter the shop, apologize and sort out who is going to talk to us about the car. Alan took lead as we expressed our concerns with it being a new piece of equipment we were reluctant to pay for this again. It was new information to him that this part was brand new and recently installed. We explain to Alan this is a brand new part recently installed a few hundred miles away but we are suspicious of the diagnostic. Our plan was to pick up the car the next day to have it towed elsewhere. Les Schwab pricing for this work- $300. So we tow to Les Schwab as is seems the easiest route to get the car in the road and safely driving. We are informed they can’t touch the car due to liability concerns as the way the brand new brakes wore down in such a short period of time there is a strong likelihood of contamination in the lines and they can’t perform this work as it needs further fixing. I call Ron’s and ask the young man who answers for Alan so I can have a consistent experience with someone knowledgeable with our current situation. He isn’t in and the person on the line won’t get anyone else he wants to hell figure it out. I explain their diagnosis was incorrect, shared what I’d learned and supported the information with news that again, we just replaced the part they said to replace. The young man was incredibly defensive, hot tempered, made degrading remarks about other establishments works and double downed on their assessment that $1700 is a fair price and if I want to bring the car back they will first replace the master cylinder then start to look at other options. I express my strong position of no, I would like to have another diagnosis completed by a more experienced tech as our primary goal is to have the car on the road and safe for my child. I was very clear and intentional in assuring him we didn’t think anyone did anything wrong at this shop. We are merely sharing information and want to fix the true problem which is not an accurate representation of what we paid for at their shop. The young man refused to work with us to have the car towed back, stated I can pay for another diagnosis or if I insisted they would flush the brakes for under $200 but we are responsible for diagnosis fees and getting the car there because they don’t that. I tell him we had the car towed to them days prior and again, my information is met with defensiveness, rude tone and an overall feeling that I simply cannot do business with this establishment unless I want to have a pissing match with a kid over the phone. I thanked him for his time and we had the vehicle towed several hundred miles back to the original point of repair. In retrospect, I believe this entire situation could have been avoided if someone with a smidge of business sense would have assisted us in troubleshooting this complex puzzle to accurately diagnose what is wrong. A week later and I’ve still not heard from anyone at this shop as a follow up. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, particularly if they are a young female expecting to receive fair, honest, and respectful treatment. We don’t mind paying top dollar for top quality however I believe our situation was treated as opportunistic. I would give zero stars if I could. When our final fix is complete I will be contacting the BBB to not only my great displeasure but to report the questionable business practices I experienced.

The biggest problem is dealing with our insurance company....they preferred that Ron's use used parts which they didn't, but would have voided any warranty of their work. I own a 1999 Dodge 1500 that I bought one year ago from a good friend. He kept it good repair and did all the little things to keep it that way. Since I am not quite the mechanic he is, I needed a place I could trust. Ron's has been that place. The service has been excellent and they are honest as well. When I asked them to flush the coolant in addition to some other services they informed me that my coolant was still good. Another place might have performed the service anyway just to make more money. Lastly, when their shuttle service was too busy they called me an Uber. I couldn't be happier!

I moved to Vancouver in June so I wasn't familiar with local automotive shops. I found Ron's Automotive on Yelp and am so happy I went to them. Ray was the person I dealt with and helped get me scheduled to have four new tires installed on my SUV and even picked out the best ones for my vehicle. The day I dropped my vehicle off I told Ray about a small nick I had in my windshield and asked if they could fix it while putting my tires on. He said no problem and they took care of it. They even shuttled me back home and picked me up when my vehicle was finished which was surprising quick. The shuttle driver Bill was extremely friendly and I enjoyed our conversation about Vancouver during our drive. My entire experience was great and I highly recommend them! Ron's Automotive is going to be my go to mechanic for all my future vehicle needs.

1. Was surprised an $85 service inspection was to a large extent just reading the maintenance manual recommendations for service at a given mileage. For example, new shocks and struts were recommended for $750 even though I had new ones last year. I can read the manual - I was looking for advice based on physical examinations by experts. 2. Prices seemed high for recommended maintenance: $180 to replace the battery. I got one at Costco for $89 and put it in in 5 minutes $830 for plug replacement and injector system maintenance versus an Alan Webb quote of $505. Even if your process is superior I can't imagine getting $325 of extra value versus one used by a Mazda dealer. It makes me wonder if I overpaid for the differential and transfer case work. I like Ron's facility and all the help seemed very knowledgeable.

Diagnostics and repairs were prompt and reasonably priced with a very good warranty on parts and service. I never felt pushed to do additional services but appreciated the recommendations. These suggestions were very honest because I knew they weren't done in many years. They provided prompt updates and included pictures to support findings. Excellent service center and the evolution of auto care!

I called in to get an estimate to repair a front passenger side window regulator and was told that it was $149 for the inspection, and that most of the time the repair could be done for the $149. I dropped my car off at the shop and was never called and I finally called around 4:30 and I was told that the regulator was bad and that they would replace the regulator as well as the window motor for over $700. Excuse Me???!!! I paid $1,000 to have the rear end replaced on the same vehicle. $700 seemed quite steep compared to other shops that quoted around $300 for the same repair. Due to the fact that the shop closed at 5pm, I had to wait until 10am the next day to get my car back, which made me hours late for work. I ended up calling a mobile repair company that comes out to you, and I only paid $259. It sucks that I paid another $149 just to find out that I was ultimately going to be ripped off!!! Everyone that I tell about the cost agrees that $700 is quite extreme and that the repair must be labor intensive. Again, it only took the mobile tech 25 minutes to do the repair. WHAT A SCAM!!!

Note - See my response to Ron's Comment below AVOID! Warning - Long Story! I would avoid Ron's as they are over priced and have sketchy business practices. Basically they fixed something on my car without first validating what was causing the issue and then proceeded to say it wasn't their fault. Long Story is I had a periodic loud high pitched squeal coming from my engine that my dealership figured was a tensioner pulley, but they didn't do a detailed analysis. I took my car to Ron's Cascade Park because it was convenient and their service warranty sounded attractive. I told them what the dealership thought it was and described the problem in detail. Unfortunately we couldn't reproduce the squeal at that time, but the customer service rep I talked with said they would check for the noise and make the appropriate repair. Unfortunately Ron's proceeded to make a the repair based on what I said WITHOUT validating the problem/sound themselves. This repair was around $550 I get the car back and right away notice the squeal was still present and so I brought it back it figuring they would give some kind of break considering they didn't fix the problem. First off, when I brought the car in the and presented the noise the mechanic, he said that they had never heard that squeal before. I followed that up by asking if they heard any squeal before making the repair....... nope. At this point I am a little frustrated, but figure they would make things right.....again nope. They proceeded to drop a $730 estimate to replace my water pump and when I asked about getting some kind of break due to them messing up, they completely blew me off and said that wasn't their responsibility. Needless to say I was pissed. I proceeded to call the Mazda Dealership I usually go to for everything and a quote for $500 for the same exact repair. I try to test them out and pressure them to make a repair without validating the issue to save time but the service manager said they don't do that because it's bad business practice and opens them up to customer complaints if something goes wrong. Just for my curiosity I called a couple other repair shops in Vancouver with the same hypothetical and they all said the same thing. Apparently Ron's operates at a different standard. Funny thing is when my wife mentioned the situation to her coworkers, one of them said they had a similar experience. So in summary go to one of the many other great mechanic's shops in Vancouver and don't to Ron's where they have unethical business practices, are dramatically overpriced, and then proceed to claim no responsibility when they mess up. UPDATED RESPONSE TO COMPANY comment: While I appreciate the response, I am disappointed that you continue to not take any responsibility in what occurred. In this situation you are the expert and customers rely on your expertise and judgement to make the appropriate decisions. I could have given any number reasons for the squeal and apparently you would have taken my word for it. This would be like a patient asking a doctor friend about a medical issue and then going to another doctor demanding treatment based on the informal opinion provided by the friend. Again there is a reason why all the places I called refused to service my vehicle without having to validate the problem first. A better reaction would have been to acknowledge that this situation could have gone better and state that you would review your internal procedures to make sure this doesn't happen again. Instead you are playing the finger pointing game and refuse to admit any responsibility. Hence why I still recommend that people look elsewhere to get their vehicle worked on.

Second, they Sold me a cheap car with infamous tranny problems that are popular in the industry for the model and they claim they didn’t know this is after I dropped almost 2000 on it for new brakes all around (it needed badly something they also lied about) and a fuel pump and driver side window all of these things went wrong within a 2000 miles of driving it very shady business would recommend gaynors or bergmans automotive as well as Clark county transmissions very good people at all those places... can’t say the same here

Customer service is top-notch. They found the issue, sent an estimate quickly (which I compared with 2 other shops), got the parts and had it done the same day. The estimate was 20% lower than the highest bid. They were very good at keeping me up to date via phone, email and text. Once the main repair was done, they did a final visual check and found a part that was clearly new, but damaged. (I had work done last spring by another local shop...that shop had the car for 3 weeks and billed me $4,800). The part the other shop installed was clearly new...but the clips had been broken off, the part was damaged and duct taped back together. (I have the original part from the first repair). Ron's called to confirm that work had been done recently on that part, replaced it and still had the car back the same day...the additional labor and part cost was nominal. I will be a repeat customer.

Our family has been dealing with Ron's Automotive for a number of years now and it's great to have a reliable go-to place instead of the dealer. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to accommodate schedules. The work recommended and completed on my car has always been top notch. I made my appointment for some service recommendations online and a quote was sent by email for me to confirm what was to be done. I spoke with Ray on the phone and he worked with me to modify what would be done to my car. I took the car in for the appointment at 8:30 am and all work was completed the same day. Because Ron's didn't have time for a car wash and inside cleaning, they let me know I could come back the following Monday to have that done. Yes, car repair is expensive for many issues, but it's so much less than paying for a new vehicle. And I have the satisfaction and confidence that my car is running in top shape with warranties in place for the work that's been done. Thank you, Ron's!!

Very pleased with the recent service from Ron’s Automotive. Both my SUVs needed attention; my Porsche required a tow. My EX35, after inspection, required rear brakes and system flush, an oil change, and tune. I knew what was wrong with it and nothing more beyond what I expected was performed. It now purrs like new. They were not able to fix my Cayenne, but recommended another specialist who was able to complete the repair. They kept my Porsche overnight and without charge and towed it to the specialist the next morning. I didn’t have to lift a finger, they took care of everything. I like that they were honest at the start as to what they could do verses working on it, charging me and then find that these repairs were beyond their capability. Awesome service, very happy with my initial visit and I will be returning. A good mechanic shop is rare, five stars!

I recently had the upper radiator hose on my vechicle break, the plastic barb on the neck for the radiator cap and connector broke. Aaron and the team here tried to sell me a $700 service to replace the hose and do a coolant flush, indicating that the thermostats would need to be replaced as well. The team also informed that the upper hose for my vechile was hard to find and over $130. I found the exact hose I needed at autozone for $60, and installed it myself in 15minutes. Total the parts cost me ~$100 with the hose, clamps, and new coolant and took ~1hr to complete. The people here must really value their time based on the evaluation they gave me. Definitely won't be coming back.

A few months ago, Ron's put in a new alternator and battery in my 11 year old car. They did a great job but told me if I had any trouble to come back because they stand behind their work! A very long story short, I took the car back to them the last week in Dec. They said the alternator was defective and they would replace it at no cost to me. They ended up putting in three different alternators and two different computer systems and in the end found a problem in the wiring. They just would not give up until they fixed my car!!!! It must have been many thousands of dollars of expense to them! No they did not charge me! My car is running beautifully and we will be going back to Ron's for all our automotive needs! Thank you to all the staff but a special thank you to Aaron and Andrew!!!

Aaron is the rep I dealt with, and after my experience I felt compelled to write a review- especially being that when we receive such good care, we tend to forget to write about it. So, thank you Aaron for your patience with me and taking such good care of my vehicle through this process. Aaron was prompt, professional and made sure I was informed each step of the way. Ron's automotive even picked me up from Hertz rental car- when Hertz couldn't take me to Ron's (like they were suppose to!) When I walked in, I was amazed. Not like any shop I remember. It was clean, and full of new equipment. They are very service conscious, and they really want to make it right. I had a car at another big place in SE portland, and all they wanted to do was get the biggest insurance pay off they could, quality and service were not their thing. Ron's is different, check them out!

I've visited Ron's for two different accidents this summer and both times, I was met with friendly, knowledgeable staff. James at the 1st street location has taken great care of me. I was informed about every step of the process and never felt like I was out of the loop on the progress of my vehicle. They have stepped in and offered advice, even inspected new cars I was considering buying. I trust Ron's with my car, and that is very important. My only complaint is that the cost is a bit high, but I would still recommend them to anyone due to their outstanding service.

Ron's Automotive does excellent quality work at a reasonable price. I trust them to keep my 12 year old Subaru WRX running in top-notch condition. Ron's has been my mechanic for many years; their work has always fixed the problem. I like their warranty; 5 years on parts and 3 years on labor. I am confident that my vehicle will not leave me stranded because I regularly have my WRX serviced at Ron's. I highly recommend them!

They picked up the truck communicated with me timely on the truck needs and were incredibly transparent on the repairs needed and suggested. Ridiculously Overpriced I took in my 2001 VW Golf for a check engine light diagnostic and alignment because it was pulling to the right under acceleration and the airbag light was on. They charged 1.3 hours at $104.99 an hour to determine that the issue was intermittent. Not fixed, just intermittent. Then they charge $40 just to do an alignment check. Which it was already known that it needed. All said I wasted $200 to find out my car still needs fixed. They quoted me $1277 to install a left inner tie rod and the lower control arm bushings, and do an alignment. That's the price of a fair daily beater Honda. TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS for bushings, tie rod, and an alignment. I know the tie rod can be done in under thirty, because I did the right one right before I took it to get aligned. I ended up going to Hillside Imports in Beaverton. $430 for parts and labor, to do the tie rod, bushings and alignment in one day. What a rip off. $800 bucks difference in price, FOR WHAT? I cannot in good faith recommend them due to exorbitant pricing, and their shop rate, at $105 is about $15 to $20 more expensive than the average going rate.

I'm NO mechanic but I definitely know my car was having some issues. Ron's has been more than helpful on diagnosing problem and then letting me know all they had learned. I never felt obligated to cough up money, which was important to me because I was able to pick and choose what problems I would and would not like to address. I drive an '02 BMW and they knew a lot about repairing my German import, which eased my thoughts since I was hesitant to bring it into a non-specialist shop. I was relieved to know that there are high quality mechanics in Vancouver that give their honest, unbiased opinion. I truly appreciated the genuine customer service at Ron's, and felt as if I was just as in-control of the repair as they were. The welcoming Ron's Automotive team simply topped off such a positive experience. If you have a problem with your vehicle definitely bring it to Ron's first. I had some body work done on my Ford Escape, and am very pleased with how it turned out. The paint color is a perfect match to the surrounding panels, and the painting quality looks good as far as I can tell. The repair took exactly long as they said it would, and exactly matched the estimate. They even polished out some scratches on another part of the vehicle, and fixed one of my fog lights while they were at it. I had a very good experience here, and plan on bringing my vehicle back for future work.

I cannot recommend Ron's automotive - or at the very least if you go here be sure to get another estimate before getting any work done here! I was quoted nearly $3500 for a job that many other (quality) shops quoted about $2200. Well worth shopping around before you end up at Ron's overpaying.

I took my very high mileage Kia Spectra to Ron's for an oil change, and they gave me a list of suggested maintenance. I really appreciated that they ranked the importance of the maintenance I'd put off and explained why it was needed and what would be affected by ignoring it longer. They broke everything down pricewise so I could do things in manageable chunks, and gave me warning signs to look for that would make the service urgent. I've been very comfortable sending others to Ron's for good, honest service!

I've worked with Ron's automotive for the past 4-5 years. The shop on 164th is excellent and the front desk is excellent. Having a 13yr old Honda with 175k miles, i'm running into the problems that are bound to occur. Ron's has taken care of me each time, fairly and on time. Problems have ranged from engine failures to a leaking sunroof, each has been solved to my satisfaction. Furthermore, my wife is comfortable taking her truck there, and has always been treated fairly.

Initially, I was half expecting to be gouged over price and pressured for more services. Four years later, I have never been pressured to have anything fixed. The technicians and the front office guys are very competent and supply accurate detailed information to make service decisions on. I enjoy that Ron's is committed to not go over a quote without verbal approval from the customer. As some other people have noted, this isn't the cheapest place to bring your car, but it is a great value. The confidence I gain in the results is well worth it.

I have been enjoying taking my '96 Chevy Silverado to Ron's for a number of years. Aaron, Brittany and Marelenne at the front desk, are all good natured and helpful whatever the problem is. Marelenne, in collision/body helped us when our Toyota Avalon was rear-ended. The mechanics are top notch. My Silverado had ongoing problems with it's old air conditioner and after market parts for it's turn signals. The problems were with the parts from manufacturers. Last summer I experienced a hole in my radiator and experienced such kindness and efficiency in replacing the radiator and fixing two other items that needed addressing. By the time I got there, my car was not driveable. All personnel at the 1st street office were extremely professional and made sure my car was back to me ASAP. One of their employees drove me home. My husband was out of town and they responded to my situation over and above the call of duty. A few weeks later, I had a minor car accident which involved some denting and replacement of a tail light on my vehicle. Again, I called on Ron's Automotive. This time I was sent to the Hazel Dell office. Again, the repair was fixed the very next day and my car looked as good as new. I received the same customer service and efficient results at a fair price on my car. I just referred some relatives who need collision repair on their vehicle and referred them to you. These folks really don't have any idea what their doing. After getting a call telling us our ford explorer was finished being detailed it took them 30 minutes to bring the car around. What on earth was going on? I believe someone was driving it around town, or trying to do in 30 minutes what they had the entire day before to do. So lets list: 1: The front panel below the hood was as I had left it, bug splattered and dirty. 2: The front window was dirty! It's a front window, how hard was that??? 3: A sizeable and deep scuff mark (permanent) next to the gear shift where some kind of buffer was used. 4: A black scuff mark on the passenger side was incompletely buffed out (I finished it with my finger and a rag). 5: Very unpleasant scent packets were placed under the back seat floor mats. At this point I just gave up. This was meant to be something special for the wife, kind of spruce up her car. What a 400 dollar disaster. There were 2 window chips that were pointed out to me so why not fix those? I could have that done where I get my oil changed. I was hoping to get my F250 worked on there. I was hoping to find a place I could trust.

We took our 2006 Miata into Ron's in November after an accident. The repairs took almost 3 weeks longer than they said. When we went to pick up the car it was filthy, the leather seats had black stuff all over them. They car has 60,000 miles on it and is always garaged with no kids. Kept super clean. They immediately cleaned it. Then we noticed the car was missing a door sill protector and the handle that releases the top. Ron's said they would replace it, well they still haven't. It has been almost 5 months total and nothing has been done. We have gone in 4 separate times

Honestly could not say enough good things about this place. First of, this location made space for my car when they already had a lot on their plate for the day when I accidentally scheduled my oil change appointment for the other location at Cascade Park(which apparently happens often to them?). Secondly, I loved the feedback I received about the health of my car and the recommendations via email for what I should be aware of with an additional follow up call to explain everything. Jon was very honest and never had I felt that he upselling more parts and services. He was sincere and actually spent the time to educate me when I had questions. I ended up asking for additional services afterwards and they completed everything within very reasonable time frame at a super reasonable cost. Additionally, they provide a shuttle if you live/work nearby to drop off/ pick you up when the car is ready. The only places I've seen this at are the auto dealers! Exceptional service and reasonable prices, cannot ask for more! You just made a long term customer!

Chose this place mainly because of the AAA rating. I'm not someone who sees sexism in everything, but I definitely felt like they tried to take advantage of me being a young female who is admittedly naive about cars. They found a leak in my radiator and only had a $908 solution for me (change everything). Even after learning from others about radiators they still tried to mislead me on things that were broken and on further questions the parts were actually fully functional but they still were suggesting full replacement. When I took the car to someone else they showed me the small leak and repaired it. Granted it not a 100% solution and it will break down over time, but it's also not a $908 solution. Would not go back.

Jon at the hazel dell location was amazing! Fit me in same day to take a look at a coolant light that was flashing on my dash and went above and beyond to find the problem. He even called the local VW dealership to let me know it was still a part under warranty so it's best to take it there. He then took care of my 40,000 mile inspection at a way lower price than the dealership quoted me! That being said... I will be bringing my husband's car in next and have told all my coworkers to do the same! Quality trustworthy service. Did nothing without calling me first...except surprised me.with a much cleaner car! Thanks!!

Overall wonderful experience with a not so wonderful situation. My breaks were making some funny sounds, and I scheduled an appointment at the hazel dell location. They picked my mom up, couldn't figure out what was wrong, then picked me up later after work to find out what was wrong. Long story short, I found out it was just a minor issue and they didn't even charge me! This is true courtesy and professionalism. They definitely have my business when my breaks do eventually go!

My battery was not charging correctly while I was driving so I brought my truck in to Ron's for them to take a look assuming something was wrong with my alternator. Of course, after bringing it in the battery started charging fine! Ron's took 2 days trying to duplicate the issue but were unable to do so. Because they were unable to find the issue, there was no charge for the tests they ran and just advised me to bring it in if it starts happening again. They have integrity and didn't "find" an issue just to charge me for it, they have earned themselves a customer the next time I have an issue with my vehicles.

i have been coming to Ron's auto for over 15 years, one thing i have noticed is that they do not look for other problems with the car other than the issue that you bought the car in for, if you are having brake work done they don't call back saying you need your spark plugs changed. on a couple occasions they sudjested i take the car to a dealer or to a specialist for that car due to a warranty or recall. i feel they are honest and that is the most important thing. when you know a honest and good mechanic, keep with them.

Do not take car here. Ron's does not accept checks, but they don't tell you until you are ready to pay. This information is not posted and the owner is too busy to return a telephone call. Even though I was a customer since 2009 with the same car at the same address my corporate check from local bank wasn't good enough and they did not care that I was inconvenienced.

Love Ron's Automotive! Always helpful and friendly. Recently, I thought I had a broken door lock on my Honda Fit. I took it to Dick Hannah Honda's Service Department and they told me it could not be fixed and needed replacement. They said the cost would be $400. They offered no other help. But, Jon at Ron's Hazel Dell said, "Bring your car by and we'll take a look." Ten minutes later, a quick spray of door lock lubricant, and my door lock is fixed! They charged me nothing. However, in time, the door lock will need to be replaced. Jon wrote up an estimate and Ron's cost for a full replacement was much lower than the dealership. Bottom line, with all our families autos, we will continue to use Ron's Auto for auto repair and auto body. They're always honest, friendly, and provide exceptional automotive customer service!

The staff at Ron’s Automotive went out of their way today to help me retrieve my daughter’s cell phone that had fallen into the back hatch of my car. It was not visible from the outside and, not being a car expert, I was at a loss. A 15 minute stop at Ron’s and they had me on my way with no damage to either my car or the phone. I really appreciate the time they took to help me. I will definitely head to Ron’s if I need any additional body work done.

Radiator on my 2000 Xterra SE 3.3 cracked and needed replacing as well as the oil pan. Had it towed to Ron’s on a Sunday. Went in on Monday to hand them the keys. Issue was diagnosed in a few hours. Parts took only a day to come in and the vehicle was serviced and ready for pick up at 8:15am Thursday. This is the 3rd time I have used Ron’s and they have yet to fail to provide quality service. I will continue to use Ron’s for future vehicle services.

I am giving two stars because I should have asked how much an alignment was prior to even making the trip. I made an appointment to have an alignment done on a 2003 Jeep Wranlger and was told that I needed to pay $39.95 for them to determine if it needs an alignment. I knew it needed an alignment due to my new tires not wearing evenly. I left my car there for a couple of hours and was called to tell me that it does need an alignment (I knew that) and that it would be nearly $300. That is absurd. When I voiced my opinion that was an outrageous price for an alignment, I was told that "some of the components are difficult to get to". Uhm, no they're not. Needless to say, I declined the work and had to pay the $39.95+ tax to have someone tell me something that I already knew. Lesson - if you know what you're looking to have done, get it quoted beforehand and shop the price.

Everyone I talked to was extremely nice. I really appreciated the amount of communication. I went in to identify an oil leak in an old SUV. They found the obvious one and then took the time to find another. It took a couple days because my SUV is old and they had to order parts (they actually fabricated a couple minor parts that weren't made any longer). During the process they kept me very well informed about what was happening and why it was happening, even took the time to explain where the leaks were coming from. I felt the price was well worth the service and work performed. I'll definitely be going back when something else pops up!

Very customer service oriented! They replaced my alternator and even tried to save me money by calling my previous autoshop to see if it was still under warranty, since I only had it replaced 3 years ago. Unfortunately it was no longer under warranty. Previous autoshop only offered a 2 year warranty. Ron's Automotive offers a 5 year or 50,000 mile warranty on parts and a 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty on labor. I also get 2 years of roadside assistance. Win win in my eyes!

I went there because my 2018 Cadi was not holding a charge and i told them i thought it was the Battery and they were thinking that it was a short that was draining my battery so we decided to fully charge the battery and overnight and put it on there machine and see if it was a short...The next morning they called and said that the machine says its got a short...But the battery is located in the trunk and they laid there machine on the carpet and got a bad reading and I WAS RIGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY SO THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH A 36 MONTH BATTERY AND CHARGED ME $450... I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY COSTLY FOR REPLACING THE BATTERY WITH A 36 MONTH BATTERY I SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED FOR AND WORK THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE DONE BECAUSE OF THERE MISTAKE OF LAYING THERE MACHINE ON THE CARPET AND GOT A BAD READING AND I TOLD THEM IT WAS THE BATTERY...SO ALL IN ALL I PAYED $450 FOR A 36 MONTH BATTERY...I DON.T KNOW BUT I.V NEVER HEARD OF A 36 MONTH BATTERY REPLACEMENT THAT COST $450...Not so HAPPY CAMPER...

Businesses that put the customer first are the best! Ron's is very professional and helpful. My car needed some body work after an accident and I'm glad I went to Ron's first. They talked me through the whole process and explained what the insurance company was going to do and what to tell them to make sure that the job was done right. Great communication. When they encountered unexpected issues they let me know immediately that the repair would take longer than they first thought. No surprises. They did everything and did it right. They even found a tiny chip in the tail light that I didn't notice and replaced that too! The car looks like it was never in the accident. Thank you to everyone at Ron's!

I have had my cars repaired multiple times at Ron's - and it has always been a good experience. They work with me on how I'd like the repair work done, they work diligently to accommodate the needs of my insurance company so that everything runs smoothly, and they are very responsive about getting back to me about questions and repair times. My latest car ended up being totaled by my insurance - but Ron's staff knew that my wife and I liked the car and considered a variety of repair options to keep the cost within the limits. I have also used them for small cosmetic items and I have always been very satisfied with their quotes and their excellent work. I have no complaints and would recommend them to anyone for large or small repairs.

My cars front bumper was high centered on a car stop. To move forward or back would have destroyed the bumper which in fact was the whole lower front of a sports car. I had a call into the emergency services for my vehicle manufacturer with little results. I called Ron's to see what they thought and they immediately sent out two gentlemen to take a look. They had me put the car in neutral and proceeded to lift the car, by hand, and rolled it off of the car stop. They would not let me pay them anything and stated that had I move the car, it would have been a approximately a $3000 repair for my make and model. This was service beyond the call of duty because they are not a towing company who deals with this sort of problem. Thank you Ron's. You made my day.

Brought my 2017 WRX in for abnormal tire wear (possible suspension issue). It was recommended that I do a factory inspection (bumper to bumper) and they said they would pay special attention to the driver front where the abnormal wear was occurring. They had the car for about 24 hours and sent me an email with a link to the inspection. The inspection covered things like oil changes, air filters, etc. It was determined that I just needed an alignment and some filters replaced. I set up and appointment to have the alignment done and took the car over to O'Reillys to get the dirty filters replaced. On my way out the car almost didn't start. Went back in and had O'Reillys check the battery and alternator. Turns out the battery was dead and I needed to replace it. Going back to Ron's 'inspection' and they said the battery was Green (good, no need to replace). This leaves serious doubts as to the validity of the overall inspection. I canceled the appointment and chose to take the car to a dedicated alignment shop. While they were courteous and apologized there was no effort to make concessions and I was charged the full $109 'inspection fee'. Be cautious when dealing with these guys. ::UPDATE:: 5/7/20 - I was contacted by the regional manager about this incident today. He apologized for the errors and offered me a full refund for the inspection.. Perhaps this was an isolated indecent and to be fair things are quite difficult with the COVID epidemic. I appreciate the effort they made to make things right.

I went to get my brakes inspected, and had my brake pads changed. They also noticed that my universal joint needed replacement also. Which I also noticed, they called me right away and recommended that I have that fixed, which I agreed. After all that, my truck was in perfect running condition. Overall I had a great experience and would return in the future.

I called last Thursday and they were able to do a brake inspection quickly on Friday and my car was ready by Monday morning. Adam was very helpful, friendly and transparent about what the necessary brake repairs and maintenance needed to be done, gave a fair quote and it was done in a timely manner. My husband and I especially liked the inspection PDF report that is sent over to you and they went over that with me on the phone. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My 2012 dodge charger driver side vent wasn't blowing hot air, although the passenger side was. I originally went to a local dealership thinking they would be the expert on my 2012 Dodge Charger. After having it for a full day and a half for a diagnostic the dealership told me I had a bad heater core. Now I doubled checked this online and it didn't make sense to me. I called Ron's Automotive and spoke with Bryan. I explained the situation and he also felt this was likely not correct as the passenger side heat still functioned and if it was indeed a heater core, there would be zero heat. Keep in mind the dealership wanted to charge me $1600 for a new heater core. So I took my car to Ron's for a 2nd opinion. They did an inspection and upon performing a simple recalibration of my bleed door actuators found that My driver Side vents now correctly blew heat. Going to Ron's literally saved me $1600 and days of being without my car. I was very impressed with the sincerity, honesty and professionalism of Bryan and his team. They earned a customer for life as I now know who I can trust with both my cars.

I went there because my 2018 Cadi was not holding a charge and i told them i thought it was the Battery and they were thinking that it was a short that was draining my battery so we decided to fully charge the battery and overnight and put it on there machine and see if it was a short...The next morning they called and said that the machine says its got a short...But the battery is located in the trunk and they laid there machine on the carpet and got a bad reading and I WAS RIGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY SO THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH A 36 MONTH BATTERY AND CHARGED ME $450... I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY COSTLY FOR REPLACING THE BATTERY WITH A 36 MONTH BATTERY I SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED FOR AND WORK THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE DONE BECAUSE OF THERE MISTAKE OF LAYING THERE MACHINE ON THE CARPET AND GOT A BAD READING AND I TOLD THEM IT WAS THE BATTERY...SO ALL IN ALL I PAYED $450 FOR A 36 MONTH BATTERY...I DON.T KNOW BUT I.V NEVER HEARD OF A 36 MONTH BATTERY REPLACEMENT THAT COST $450...Not so HAPPY CAMPER...

I called last Thursday and they were able to do a brake inspection quickly on Friday and my car was ready by Monday morning. Adam was very helpful, friendly and transparent about what the necessary brake repairs and maintenance needed to be done, gave a fair quote and it was done in a timely manner. My Elantra developed a strange rattle at about 50 mph that I couldn't figure out. As I approached Ron's for my appointment, the rattle seemed to disappear. Brought my 2017 WRX in for abnormal tire wear (possible suspension issue). It was recommended that I do a factory inspection (bumper to bumper) and they said they would pay special attention to the driver front where the abnormal wear was occurring. They had the car for about 24 hours and sent me an email with a link to the inspection. The inspection covered things like oil changes, air filters, etc. It was determined that I just needed an alignment and some filters replaced. I set up and appointment to have the alignment done and took the car over to O'Reillys to get the dirty filters replaced. On my way out the car almost didn't start. Went back in and had O'Reillys check the battery and alternator. Turns out the battery was dead and I needed to replace it. Going back to Ron's 'inspection' and they said the battery was Green (good, no need to replace). This leaves serious doubts as to the validity of the overall inspection. I canceled the appointment and chose to take the car to a dedicated alignment shop. While they were courteous and apologized there was no effort to make concessions and I was charged the full $109 'inspection fee'. Be cautious when dealing with these guys. ::UPDATE:: 5/7/20 - I was contacted by the regional manager about this incident today. He apologized for the errors and offered me a full refund for the inspection.. Perhaps this was an isolated indecent and to be fair things are quite difficult with the COVID epidemic. I appreciate the effort they made to make things right.

My cars front bumper was high centered on a car stop. To move forward or back would have destroyed the bumper which in fact was the whole lower front of a sports car. I had a call into the emergency services for my vehicle manufacturer with little results. I called Ron's to see what they thought and they immediately sent out two gentlemen to take a look. They had me put the car in neutral and proceeded to lift the car, by hand, and rolled it off of the car stop. They would not let me pay them anything and stated that had I move the car, it would have been a approximately a $3000 repair for my make and model. This was service beyond the call of duty because they are not a towing company who deals with this sort of problem. Thank you Ron's. You made my day.

My 2012 dodge charger driver side vent wasn't blowing hot air, although the passenger side was. I originally went to a local dealership thinking they would be the expert on my 2012 Dodge Charger. After having it for a full day and a half for a diagnostic the dealership told me I had a bad heater core. Now I doubled checked this online and it didn't make sense to me. I called Ron's Automotive and spoke with Bryan. I explained the situation and he also felt this was likely not correct as the passenger side heat still functioned and if it was indeed a heater core, there would be zero heat. Keep in mind the dealership wanted to charge me $1600 for a new heater core. So I took my car to Ron's for a 2nd opinion. They did an inspection and upon performing a simple recalibration of my bleed door actuators found that My driver Side vents now correctly blew heat. Going to Ron's literally saved me $1600 and days of being without my car. I was very impressed with the sincerity, honesty and professionalism of Bryan and his team. They earned a customer for life as I now know who I can trust with both my cars.

Ron’s was fantastic. The fan and regulator to blow air into the car had burned out. This was becoming more of a problem as the colder weather was causing condensation on the front window and I needed to be driving quickly in order for air to flow into the car to evaporate the condensate. I called, got in the same day and my car was back with me the next day. They were fantastic to work with, professional and even offered pick up and drop off service! I will definitely be coming back to them for my automotive needs.

I brought my sons 2003 Toyota Tacoma in that was having a clutch issue. There was no pressure in the clutch pedal which generally is a hydraulic issue. When I was contacted after they looked at it they told me that it was not a hydraulic issue and it would be $2500 to put in a new clutch and in addition needed a transmission service. I opted to get a second opinion and took the truck to an independent mechanic who verified that it was indeed a hydraulic issue and only had to replace the master and slave cylinders and the clutch worked perfect for less than $500. Needless to say I will never do any business with Ron’s Automotive in the future.

I would give a zero star if I could, felt the shop was dishonest and untrustworthy. I pay and got my car fully inspected and brake fixed by them, had to take it back after three months because the steering wheel start shaking when braking. The manager said they would do a full brake inspection for free since work would done in last three months. But when I went to the shop, the front desk staff Adam said since we only did back brake we will only check the back brakes. I was like that's not what manager said, it suppose to be a free braking system check. Finally he agree to have car look at. Got a call later said they look at the brake system and said everything is good. But when I drove it home, the shaking is still there. Took it to another shop, the new shop shows me how bad my rotors are looking both front and back brakes so that's probably what's causing the shaking steering wheel. The new shop was surprise the back brake work Ron did for how much they charged me. Never gonna go back to them again.

I own a 1999 Dodge 1500 that I bought one year ago from a good friend. He kept it good repair and did all the little things to keep it that way. Since I am not quite the mechanic he is, I needed a place I could trust. Ron's has been that place. The service has been excellent and they are honest as well. When I asked them to flush the coolant in addition to some other services they informed me that my coolant was still good. Another place might have performed the service anyway just to make more money. Lastly, when their shuttle service was too busy they called me an Uber. I couldn't be happier!

I will say. I think it’s ridiculous that its $175 just to get my check engine light diagnosed and after finding out the issues with my car I wasn’t given an quotes at all. And I assume my car was test driven because whoever drove it smushed my floor mats and got dirty grime all over the gear select and the inside driver door handle. How hard is it to clean your hands or wear gloves in another's car. No matter how old or beat the car is. Doesn’t mean you get it dirty by being careless. don’t plan on coming back as they just wanted to up sell me.

Took my car in to get service. Got it fixed .Got my vehicle back, drove it and noticed some noise and rubbing sound when I turned. Took the vehicle back in. Told them never had the problem before I took it in. They told me it was a power steering pump. I asked them to fix what they had damaged. They said it wasn't there fault, and said it was normal wear and tear, even though it wasn't making any noise before I took it in. Horrible situation to be put in. Won't be going back.

I own a 1999 Dodge 1500 that I bought one year ago from a good friend in 2017. UPDATE: 8/17/2012 About 3 months ago my 1999 Ram was having problems. The A/C was going out and the coolant was becoming low but there were no apparent leaks. I also needed to replace my rear brakes and get some general maintenance taken care of. Since my truck is pretty old, I didn’t want to spend money replacing my A/C compressor if the coolant was leaking into the engine block or some other type of catastrophic failure was occurring. When I took it to Ron’s, I stipulated that if there was a catastrophic problem, I would have to reluctantly move on from my beloved truck. I should also note that my truck was still running strong with no noticeable loss of power that likely would have been happening under the circumstances. They discovered the coolant was leaking into an area near the thermostat housing and timing chain. Since this was not catastrophic, I authorized Ron’s to go ahead with all the recommended repairs. After the complete inspection, they replaced the stretched out timing chain, thermostat housing/thermostat, rear brakes, A/C compressor, oil change and vacuumed the interior. These repairs weren’t cheap, around $4,000 but this truck is good to go for years to come! I trust these guys implicitly, I can’t recommend them high enough!

Took my BMW in to get diagnosed they said it would be 98$to figure out. Next day they told me they could not figure it out because they said they didn't know what was going on because they did not have computer codes to figure that out,and they said because it's a BMW and you have they have to pay BMW lots of money for those codes.why would you take a job if you know you don't have electronic codes if that's what's I came into be looked into.Went online diagnosed it myself as a FRM module in a couple videos.I took it to a different mechanic and they fixed the problems the next day.it was exactly what I found online by watching YouTube video's 🤔. Felt like they left me hanging for a day just to get my money. Don't bring your car here, they just will take your money and tell you they can't fix it.

Was told my clutch needed replaced at Ron’s Automotive but took it to an independent shop a week later and they were real with me and told me it’s fine don’t spend a dime on it. Haven’t had any problems since so I don’t feel like Ron’s was completely honest with me regarding their inspection and/or maybe performed it in hot weather or something idk. I didn’t like the $2000+ quote I got for something my car didn’t even need. Other than that they were nice. [Update 4 Months Later: Over 8,000 Miles Since I Was Told My Car Needed A New Clutch And Zero Problems Still.] I hope that if anyone sees this review it can help.

I recently took my 2006 honda pilot in for a transmission leak. Ron's found the leak plus an oil leak. After $2K, the transmission leak was repaired and we were told the oil leak was repaired as well. Upon picking up the car, we found it with 3 new problems, which it did not have before we brought it in. The check engine was on ( it had never been on before) which ended up being an o2 sensor, a loud squealing sound from the engine ( we are still not sure what this new sound is) and the engine performance was horrible. Ron's replaced the o2 sensor and charged me for the part only and they stated the performance issue was the computer that needed to re-learn the vehicle. Unfortunately, we are still experiencing an oil leak, which is what we paid them a lot of money to fix. Ron's evaluated this leak and said it would be another $1400 to fix the leak, which is what they were supposed to do the first time. I'm not sure how we developed 3 new issues while the car was at Ron's, but at least they fixed one of the issues. We still have an oil leak and the new squealing sound. I want to say they did an overall good job, but I thought they would go back and fix the oil leak they should have fixed, but missed, the first time.

Bunch of crooks. Spent 7k on a new transmission just for them to call say its ready yet wasn’t. When I was finally able to pick it up I was only able to drive 20 miles before new issues occurred and needed towed back. They then charged another 1k and refused to give the old transmission/ core back. Do not recommend at all.

Pleasant people to work with. However, after getting my car back from the shop, my driver’s side window doesn’t roll up all the way when I shut the car off(when the car is turned off, it rolls down 1/2” now). The door also creaks when it’s opened/closed. I know they had to replace the FRM (on the drivers side) and perhaps it wasn’t properly put back together. I’ve also had them check the engine light that came on with no conclusion. Then was told I need to diagnose the check engine light. So this leads me to believe that perhaps it was never done? Just confused and when I had asked via email, I got no response. Never a problem with oil changes here and they have a great staff.

The diagnostics that cost $171.00 plus tax seemed to be less of a technicgal conclusion of the problem with my vehicle and more of an educated guess. So the result of the diagnostic was that it could possibly be a blown head gasket or Mabe a cracked block. Or maybe something else? fixable? Could this be also a possibility? But the conclusion was they would not do this repair or recomend this repair. Maybe that's true but they were still unsure what the exact problem is without further diagnosis. Which to me is not a full explanation of what is the exact problem. Or cost of repair. So we cannot afford spending money all over town getting more diagnostic possibilities. We have spent a lot of money at this same location doing upkeep on this vehicle. Its not to much to expect a full diagnostic as to the exact problem. Current solution recomended, junk the vehicle we have spent 1000.oo's of dollars of recent upkeep. Suspension, tires, batteries, new computer. I would think at least a more complete diagnosis before we loose our upkeep money so quickly.

Was not impressed. Do not recommend taking anything to do with insurance to this shop. Adam in the front refuses to submit invoices or estimates to insurance, so you’re left doing it all yourself. Also has refused to work on a wiring system because it’s an aftermarket stereo? Take the time to find someone else, you won’t regret it.

Went in for an overdue oil change and to swap out a headlight. It took longer than expected just because my Smart car has a much smaller than average wheel base, so they had to be extra careful driving it onto the lift (which I appreciate!). I absolutely love coming to this shop. Their staff is extremely polite and welcoming. Their mechanics are highly trained professionals that really do know what they’re doing. I have had such great experiences with them in the past and currently have yet another vehicle my 2004 Subaru Forrester in for a major head gasket repair. As with any true and correct review, I will update this after completion and return of my vehicle. Though I have no doubts. It will be as wonderful of an experience as it has in the past. Automotive repair is expensive and troublesome, but when placed in the right hands. It doesn’t have to be such a stressful situation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone Needing car, maintenance or repair and desire to have your vehicle handed over to trusted professionals who will actually do the work and do it right. They also communicate with you the whole way through and also have a very user-friendly notification system that gives you updates on your vehicle as well as access to full reports which make it so much easier to figure out what’s going on and how it’s being handled.

Have a 2005 Hyundai that they almost rebuilt the front end machinal. Replaced both CV Axles, timing, belt, plugs. Good people to deal with. Only bad thing are prices, might want to check around. Parts prices are high!

I scheduled an AC flush and recharge. We dropped off the vehicle at 8am the day of the appt thinking it would be done in the afternoon. There was a misunderstanding during the scheduling process and the vehicle needed to be there longer than we thought which did kind of throw us a curve ball for picking the rig up. The end result was fine and they treated us great making arrangements to get it doe in time to fit our needs. Thank you Zach for helping us out.

Please stay away from Ron’s Automotive. If there were a choice to select a zero star, I would. They got paid for a Manufactured Part from my Extended Warranty because that was what the Service Manager, Alan Croft, submitted in their estimate, but put an After Market Part in my car. I found out a month later because the aftermarket part failed: I took it to the dealership and they diagnosed the fail and informed me it was an after market part. Once we called Ron’s Automotive to inform them that they had been caught committing Fraud, they even paid the diagnostic cost at the dealership admitting what they did. Please Do Not come to this shop, it’s all nice and shinny from the outside, but all due to the money they steal from us, the customer, into their pocket.

My experience with Ron’s automotive was very good despite my situation the car. Their initial general inspection of the car was detailed and organized. They looked into the coolant leak of my car but couldn’t find the source so they didn’t charge me for the labor of that task, which was nice. They sympathized for my situation and I could tell they care about their customers. I will be taking my car there for future services because I trust them (which is hard to come by these days).

They have great customer service - very helpful and answered all of my questions honestly. After the inspection, they sent over a report that listed the services that needed attention. Great place - very honest I have been using Ron's now for about 13 years and have always loved their service and trusted their honesty; especially as a woman. When I took my last car in to have the very squeaky breaks replaced, they said "nope, just needs some cleaning; still at 60%". Most recently my daughter had to call them and since they were about to close on a Friday night, Brian said he'd stop by our place on his way home to look at her car which wouldn't start. He ran a few simple tests, looked at the failed DEQ sheet (her dad bought it the week prior without ever having it looked at) and was honest enough to say that he wouldn't fix it; it wasn't worth it; sell it for parts. I will continue to take my vehicles to Ron's and recommend them to everyone

Hands down best service in Town! Dropped my car off for an oil change. They gave me a shuttle ride home. As my car was in the shop they kept me updated on the status. They fixed my car the same day! My experience was for a clutch replacement on a 2004 F-250. I do some mechanic work at home and really only take my vehicles in when it is something I can't figure out (usually electrical) or I don't have time or tools. With the clutch I did not have the time or proper tools to remove that big of a transmission. Compared to other shops I would say Ron's Automotive is very good. It has good reviews I was satisfied. I needed it done and I had them do it. I priced the same job at the dealer later and found it would have been the same price. In my opinion your not going to get better service and expertise than at a dealer. My wife's car was in the Acura dealer for electrical issues. They took great care of me, constant updates and listed on a print out other recommendations. I took the list and performed myself, they said use it as your at home check list. No additional charges for the list or complete vehicle inspection. No such luck at Ron's. I asked them to check my FICM that I think it is bad and they said "the mechanic started it and thinks you are right the FICM is $700 to replace" full module plug and play. They didn't even test it, if they did I am sure they would have told me it tested at so many volts. I was able to do a half module replacement myself for $150. I feel like the dealer would have tested it and told me a half module would fix my problem. You see 90% of the time on those trucks it is the power said that fails not the logic side of the FICM. For that reason they get a 1 star, good shop but I won't be back I will be at the dealer. At the very least I would have liked to see a voltage test on the FICM even if they wanted to replace the whole thing to guarantee it was not both sides. Dealer is just going to have the vehicle specific expertise and if it is the same price use the dealer. Thanks

I had extensive work done on my Lincoln a couple different times over the last couple of years. I went to Ron's both times due to the friendly staff, including Jessica and Ray who have both been exceptional! I have always been given an up front quote on any repairs needed. Once the work was done the quote was exactly to the penny what I had to pay. There were no hidden fees or any add on's which is typical for most other auto repair shops. Great experience at this shop! I would say that the expression "you get what you pay for" would apply when doing service with Ron's and I mean that in a good way. They have the best warranty around 5 years on parts and 3 years on labor! When it comes to a major purchase like a car, QUALITY repairs and maintenance makes sense. Jessica is very pleasant and helpful over the phone, and makes the drop off and pick up process smooth.

If anyone has ever been through the process of failing emissions then you will relate to my situation and I can only hope you will get as good of an experience as I did by going to Ron's Automotive for help. I went in there for the first time today after failing the emissions test and as if wasting my time and $15 isn't frustrating enough, they tell you that you have to go get the issue (or in my case SEVERAL issues) with my car resolved, or at the very least in the State of Washington you can qualify for a "waiver program" if you prove that you have spent a MINIMUM of $150 on repairs of those specific issues. So they give you a list of certified shops and send you on your merry way. Location convenience resulted in me calling Ron's and Jessica was so helpful I just thought it necessary to share with others how a frustrating situation can somehow be tolerable when treated with such sympathy and knowledge. If I had a heads up and review to read like the one I am leaving for ya'll it would have helped SO MUCH! First of all, don't try to pass emissions with a check engine light on. I did not know this would automatically fail me. I am all about problem solving and so when I was informed that my initial cost for diagnostic testing would be a total of $120 after taxes, I asked if we could skip that and go straight to repairs. Well for those in this same failed emissions pickle, the answer is no. It's Washington States DOL requirements that the mechanic guys who sign the slip to return the DOL have to go through the testing process first. So I tried to explain I didn't need it cause they gave me the codes that came up and I already knew what was wrong with my car. I was then informed about the difference in the tests many shops offer, and she calmly and in detail explained how pulling codes and full diagnostic testing are different. One just takes a min and tells what part of my car is having issues, the other can take a couple hours and will be more accurate with results by targeting the component or parts that are busted. So for a better chance to not have to repeat this process by spending more $ and time in accurately pin pointing the issue, Fine I will do it. Although I don't like the fact that I will have to shell it out, I did appreciate the up front, REAL total dollar amount answer she gave. No "around this much" or "a rough estimate of the cost is..." it was THE exact amount after taxes even. So I already know I will not have to worry about hidden charges at this place and that is comforting when you are as car illiterate as me. I asked if they could just sell me a little part for around $30 (that would eventually go towards the repairs) in order to get me to that $150 mark and Jessica's answer showed me that this shop has integrity. She said they wouldn't be able to help me slide by and just get to the $150 without actually doing some sort of repairs, but she did ease my mind a little by assuring me that if it ends up my car needs hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of work they would help me to prioritize and allow me time to budget with only doing the most needed repair fist and so on. I am looking forward to my appointment now and working with this shop.I hope maybe my sharing helped anyone else with their failing emissions problems.

I highly recommend Ron's. I own a trailer dealership and know from experience that most people won't take the time to post when they get good, honest service. They usually only post when they want to complain. We took our 2011 BMW to Ron's to get the airbag light and horn fixed. When they fixed those items, the traction control light came on. They called and told us that it may be something that happened when they fixed the other items, but it had to go to a different shop to fix the problem. They got it fixed and didn't charge us. If they were dishonest, they would not have told us it could of been from the other work done and made us pay to get it fixed too. When we picked it up it had a scratch on it that wasn't there when we took it in. (They do a walk around and notate any damage) This damage could have been from an employee, a customer or done at the other shop they took it to. Regardless, they fixed it, and a spot on the bumper that was already on the car at no charge. They also detailed it and found a key fob inside that had been missing for a year!! Thank you Jon and Steve for EXCELLENT work and customer service. We will tell everyone about you.

I brought my car to Ron's because it was revving on its own (straight up to 3000 rpm's as soon as I turned it on), which was obviously a major problem that had me very worried. I dropped it off right before closing (which is 5, not 5:30 as Google says), and I appreciated that they have a shuttle and gave me a ride home. That, and their friendly customer service, were both great. However, their diagnosis (which I paid $150 for so I assumed it would be quite thorough) was that my air filter had started disintegrating, and pieces had been sucked into the engine where they burned up and caused issues with several engine components. Their repair estimate included a top engine clean, new air filter, new upstream and downstream oxygen sensors, and an oil change - for a total of over $800, not including the diagnosis fee. They did fix a couple of very minor issues (essentially tightening loose bolts) during the diagnosis at no extra charge, which I was grateful for, though I still don't think that was worth $150. I was unable to afford $800+ in repairs so I had my car towed to my house, where I started working on it myself. As I did so, the problem seemed to fix itself (every time I turned it on, it ran normally). I'm pretty sure the issue was that a piece of the air filter had simply been stuck in the throttle body and was obstructing the throttle plate from closing completely, so air was constantly being sucked into the engine, causing a continuous high idle. I did take apart the air filter housing to look at the throttle plate, but at that point the piece of air filter must've already moved its way through the engine because everything looked fine in there. Obviously the air filter did need replaced, but that cost me $10 and only took a couple minutes to install. As for the oxygen sensors, the downstream sensor is broken but the revving issue had nothing to do with that, and the engine functions without it (though I do intend to replace it sometime). The upstream sensor is working just fine, contrary to what Ron's told me. The oil change seems to be just an extra service they added to increase their price - I just changed the oil myself a couple months ago, and it's still perfectly fine. The air filter issue didn't affect it in any way. My engine does have some grime build-up and could use a top engine clean, however it's not at all a necessity, and that also had nothing to do with the revving problem. In short, all I did was my own diagnosis (which is what I paid Ron's $150 for), then bought a $10 part and took less than five minutes installing it. I'm aware that I got lucky since the problem fixed itself, but Ron's should've caught that themselves rather than quoting me over $800 in unnecessary work. I'm extremely disappointed, and definitely won't be entrusting them with my car repairs in the future.

This is the best and ONLY place i take my DIESEL 1 TON DUALLY for inspections, repairs, or routine service. After trying somenof these "diesel specialists" around and tired of excessive pricing,misdiagnosis, overlooked problems, and lack of experience and professionalism, i took my truck to Andrew at Ron's Hazel Dell seeing how id been taking an old chevy truck and a kia sedan there with great results. Andrew knows diesels. I highly recommend Rons Hazel Dell for diesel service.

I sustained damage to my car and after some research of reviews decided to have the body work done at Ron's Automotive. I was extremely pleased with the work that was done. Marelene at the front counter was so helpful and kind. She went above and beyond the usual customer service in her explanation of the repairs and even helped me navigate the insurance process and called the company where the damage occurred to explain what was happening with my car. Ron's automotive figured out and repaired our electrical issues when other reputable places could not. They have a skilled professional staff who are always courteous and understand that having mechanical issues are inconvenient and stressful. Always willing, helpful and trustworthy leaving you in charge, and not feeling cornered. Getting the job done in a timely fashion, when they said they would. They have a clean full service shop. And after using their services several times, I'm convinced to look no further for all our automotive needs.

They were friendly and professional. They checked out my car for any other maintenance needs and provided a cost for each service. I was not pressured to add on any other services at this time which will allow me to budget in the future. This was a very different experience from the dealership!

They have been busy with a friend of mine's rig for a while and diagnosed wiring harness problems that I didn't want to mess with and seemed to have figured things out pretty good so far. I know that it has been a long project for them but they seem to be pretty patient with it.

Ron's Automotive (Adam) performed flawlessly. In and out on the same day for a Starter Motor replacement. They also performed a very thorough multi-point inspection. I recommend Ron's Automotive and will utilize their services in the future should the need arise.

A few years ago I brought my son's Volvo in to get checked and they gave me an honest opinion about the vehicle. As a result I didn't throw a bunch of money into a vehicle that wasn't worth the repair. Today they went above and beyond by checking on an urgent issue for a newly purchased vehicle. They were slammed but still took the few minutes to ease my mind. A big thank you to the team at Ron's.

This is a well ran, very professional business. I had them diagnose a possible head gasket failire after another mechanic felt it was the problem. They used a more accurate test and found no issue at this time. They replaced everything to factory spec and did not upsell me on anything. I enjoyed interacting with Ray. Their shop runs smooth in part because that gentleman is the operations manager. I did feel the price for the backflush service was high and don't agree with their shop supply charge being passed to customers. That aside, I would use this business again in the future for my larger repair jobs.

Ron’s automotive was wonderful to work with. My A/C was not getting cold enough during the hot weather. They serviced it and I noticed that it would stilll take quite some time to cool down. I took the car back and they were able to get it to cool down lower and more quickly. They are super nice, very communicative and really make an effort to make things right. I love how they call me up after my service to check on me and on how the car is doing. They are an honest outfit and I felt very comfortable working with them!

I brought my vehicle in to Ron’s automotive for a coolant leak, they diagnosed the issue as a bad water pump and quoted me over $1800. This is approximately the price of a new engine with labor to replace it. I was able to buy the parts and replace the them myself for under $120 and less than 45 minutes of my time. I don’t know how they’re doing their labor pricing but their process is extremely unfair. No mechanic deserves $1.5k per hour

Overall satisfied with the service. A couple items: 1. I asked for an oil change and filter. They did their normal inspection and deflated my tires -14 PSI, which I did not authorize. I requested they re-inflate to the original PSI and they did. 2. I dropped the car off at 5:15 PM (there business hours are 7:30-5:30 M-F) yesterday, for them to work on the car today and they said it was too late to place the car behind the secured gate, and I had to leave the car outside the gate overnight in a sketchy part of town. I do not understand why the Manager who I spoke with wasn't willing to open the gate up so I could park the car in their lot. For these reasons, I am hesitant to return to Ron's in the future.

HANDS DOWN Best Automotive Repair in PNW!!! I own an Auto Body Repair shop in another state and am IMPRESSED by the level of service and detail I received from Ron's. Lucky, Zach, Jordan, Charles all were respectful, patient, thorough, none acted annoyed with my questions. The diagnostics are state of the art. I was texted a breakdown of all parts inspected and in need of repairs, even color coded in level of urgency with photos to back up what the mechanics found. Total transparency! The waiting area is clean and uncluttered, with snacks, coffee and a play area for kids. They even gave me a discount when I paid for some of the heftier repairs needed. 10/10 RECOMMEND. Thanks guys!!!
